Happy 40the Deltaversay to myself and my 45 line sisters of the Delta Sigma Theta Gamma Lambda Chapter Spr. 86 line@ Johnson C. Smith University!!!! Our Napa Valley visit was more than just a trip; it was exactly the excursion my soul needed. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the "bar" for wine and hospitality is set right here. This trip was centered on fellowship—sharing stories and laughter against a backdrop of rolling vineyards and mountain peaks. We called The Meritage Resort and Spa home, and it was perfection. It’s a massive, beautiful property where you truly have everything you need at your fingertips. If you’re looking for a meal to remember, Ember’s Steakhouse is a must. Even though I skipped the steak, the beet salad and spinach were incredible. Brown Estate Winery-(black owned) was amazing and you must add it to your stop on your visit. Between the "Sisterhood" sessions, we stayed active. I highly recommend the Napa Valley Wine Trail for a scenic ride, and for my fellow golfers, Napa Golf Course is a hidden gem. It’s a public course, very affordable, and the greens were in excellent condition—all while being surrounded by those iconic Napa mountains. Napa, you’ve officially earned a spot in my Top 10 USA destinations. I’m already planning my return for the Brian Culbertson Jazz Festival next year 2027! Thanking God for every blessing and every mountain he has brought me over. I give my God praise everyday!
